Rates
To support this shared value, the social workers using the Viva Psychosocial platform offer sliding scale rates based on individual financial situation and insurance coverage.
This approach helps make care accessible for people who need reduced fees, while allowing those who can contribute more to help others.
Fees reflect the time, preparation, and professional expertise involved in your care.
Please note that a $20 administrative fee for opening your file will be added to your first session, regardless of the rate.
If you would like to benefit from the sliding fee scale, you will need to complete a short section of the intake form. If this section is not completed, the regular fee of $130 per session will apply.
We believe mental health support should be accessible to all.

What to expect in your first session
Your first session is a space for us to get to know each other.
The social worker takes time to understand what brings you in, what you are currently experiencing, and what feels most important to focus on. This may include both challenges you are facing or early support to help maintain your well-being. You do not need to have everything clearly defined.
Many people come in simply knowing that something feels difficult or no longer manageable in their life.
You are always in control of what you choose to share with the social worker and at what pace. The focus is on creating a safe, collaborative space where you can feel heard and supported.
The first session marks the beginning of the process and may help identify possible directions moving forward. A complete intervention plan is co-constructed after a social functioning assessment, which is typically completed over 2 to 3 sessions.
The session typically includes:
-
An overview of the social work process, including confidentiality and its limits
-
A conversation about your current situation and concerns
-
An overview of your history and context
-
An exploration of your strengths, needs, and goals
-
A discussion of how we might work together moving forward
